Kevin Costner Opens Up About ‘Yellowstone’ Drama, and He’s Not Happy

The good news? He’s “very open to coming back!”

Kevin Costner has finally spoken out about his departure from “Yellowstone” in a candid interview with Deadline, addressing the behind-the-scenes drama that began in May 2023. Contrary to earlier claims, Costner denied that his movie project, “Horizon,” caused scheduling conflicts. He clarified that the production of “Yellowstone” was halted due to a lack of scripts, not his availability.

Costner stated he fulfilled his contractual obligations and even offered an extra week to help the show, despite the show’s studio and production challenges. He expressed openness to returning if the writing meets expectations, emphasizing his commitment to the series. Fans can anticipate the latter half of Season 5 in November 2024, with hopes for John Dutton’s return.
