“Kevin Costner Opens Up About His Love Life: A Surprising Take on His Relationship with Jewel”

Kevin Costner has finally addressed rumors surrounding his relationship with singer Jewel. The 69-year-old actor was first linked to the “Foolish Games” star, 50, seven months ago following his split from ex-wife Christine Baumgartner after 18 years of marriage.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Kevin was directly asked if he was in love, given the recent speculation. He clarified that he and Jewel are merely friends, stating, “No, Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out ever.”

He emphasized the importance of their friendship, saying, “She’s special, and I don’t want these rumors to ruin what we have.” He praised her, adding, “She’s beautiful enough to go out with.”

Howard Stern inquired about the origins of the rumors, to which Kevin explained that they stemmed from a recent trip to Branson’s Island. “She has a foundation, which I didn’t know about,” he revealed. Kevin mentioned that he had been invited to Necker Island by Richard Branson for years, and finally decided to go.

He noted that the trip included more than just him and Jewel; they were accompanied by Emma Watson and several others who weren’t celebrities. Kevin recalled having “tremendous conversations” with both Jewel and Emma during the trip.

“I don’t want the press to ruin this for us,” he continued, highlighting the meaningful exchanges they’ve had. “We don’t have a romance, and we’ve not dated. She’s beautiful and smart enough for all those things, but it just hasn’t happened for us.”

The two were first spotted together in December at a charity event on Necker Island, where they were photographed sharing a moment. This came shortly after Kevin finalized his divorce from Christine in February 2023. The couple shares three children: Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 13, all of whom have reportedly asked Kevin about his rumored romance with Jewel.

Jewel, who was previously married to rodeo star Ty Murray and shares a 12-year-old son, Kase, with him, also has her own past relationships to navigate.
