amazon founder Jeff Bezos is denying reports that he is about to get married on Kevin Costner’s Aspen, Colorado, ranch.

“Furthermore, this whole thing is completely false — none of this is happening. The old adage ‘don’t believe everything you read; is even more true today than it ever has been,” Bezos wrote on X on December 22.
“Now lies can get ALL the way around the world before the truth can get its pants on. So be careful out there folks and don’t be gullible. Will be interesting to see if all the outlets that ‘covered’ and re-reported on this issue a correction when it comes and goes and doesn’t happen,” he wrote.

DailyMail.com had reported that Bezos was marrying his fiancee Lauren Sanchez the week of December 23 in Aspen, Colorado, in a $600 million extravaganza. DailyMail reported that Bezos “will be holding the ceremony at Kevin Costner’s 160-acre Dunbar Ranch,” according to one “rumor in town.”

Bezos, the owner of The Washington Post, wrote his X post in response to businessman Bill Ackman sharing a post by the New York Post.

“This is not credible. Unless you are buying each of your guests a house, you can’t spend this much money,” Ackman wrote on X. The post he shared is no longer available.

The post was a rare one on X for Bezos, who had not posted on the X platform since the day after the presidential election.

She showed off the ring, which Page Six estimated was worth $2.5 million while sailing around the Mediterranean on Bezos’s yacht, the publication reported.

Bezos has been married once before. In 2019, Bezos and his then-wife MacKenzie released a statement on X confirming that they were divorcing.

“We want to make people aware of a development in our lives,” the statement read. “As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends.”

The statement continued, “We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other. If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again. We’ve had such a great life together as a married couple and we also see wonderful futures ahead, as parents, friends, partners in ventures and projects, and as individuals pursuing ventures and adventures. Though the labels might be different, we remain a family, and we remain cherished friends.”
