Here’s What Happened in the Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette Drama..?
|Pauley Perrette and Mark Harmon had a falling out after his dog bit a member of the ‘NCIS’ crew.
Pauley Perrette has returned to CBS Studios after a two-year absence. The actress left NCIS: Naval Cr1m1nal Investigative Service, but she’s eager to return to her old workplace and begin work on her new sitcom, Brok.
She famously left NCIS after a disagreement with co-star and one of the show’s executive producers, Mark Harmon. Fans are curious: what was the drama all about?
Here’s what you need to know about the drama starring Pauley Perrette and Mark Harmon.
“NO, I AM NOT RETURNING! EVER! (Would you please stop asking?) I’m terrified of Harmon and what he’ll do to me. It gives me nightmares. I’ve got a new show that’s SAFE AND HAPPY! You’ll enjoy it! #HappyPlace I adore you all!” In June of this year, Pauley tweeted.
On NCIS, Pauley portrayed one of the show’s most beloved characters, Abby Sciuto. As such, she had the authority to speak out against Mark Harmon’s questionable behavior.
According to Vanity Fair, Pauley’s relationship with Mark soured when he brought his dog, Dave, to set. Unfortunately, Dave att4ck3d one of the crew members, resulting in a 15-stitched wound. Most people would have addressed the worst-case scenario.
Mark, on the other hand, saw it differently, and he continued to bring his pit bull mix with him day after day. Instead of confronting him about his unprofessional behavior, Pauley decided to notify the relevant CBS Studios department.
They arrived at an agreement. According to Vanity Fair, this stated that neither Mark nor Pauley should appear in the same scenes – and even if they did, their takes would have to be shot separately.
This is how the Season 16 finale, including Abby’s farewell scene, was created. Jethro Gibbs, Mark’s character, was conspicuously absent throughout.
Other issues were brought to light as a result of the Pauley Perrette/Mark Harmon drama.
“A’machine’ is keeping me silent and spreading FALSE stories about me. A very wealthy and powerful publicity’machine.’ There are no morals, no responsibilities to the truth, and I’m just left here, reading the lies and trying to protect my crew. Trying to stay calm. He carried it out “On May 13, 2018, Pauley tweeted.
Many saw the tweet as a call to action against workplace misconduct. The specifics, on the other hand, were never revealed. As a result, more speculation ensued. Amy Robach, a news anchor on Good Morning America, referred to the case as one involving sexual abuse in a June 2019 episode.
Around the same time, CBS Studios Inc offered Eliza Dushku $9.5 million in compensation after she sued Michael Weatherly for workplace sexual harassment.
According to Vulture, Eliza sought legal counsel in order to stop the never-ending barrage of verbal abuse, which included rape jokes and sexual propositions.
According to the outlet, Pauley stood by Michael throughout the ordeal, claiming that their friendship was more valuable. It’s unclear whether Pauley and Mark ever got past their disagreement.
