Kevin Costner Reveals His Relationship Goals for the Future
|Kevin Costner Opens Up About His Future Relationship Aspirations
Kevin Costner finalized his divorce from Christine Baumgartner earlier this year and is now ready to embrace love again.
At 69, the actor-director has clarity about what he seeks in a partner. “I had two unique relationships,” Costner shared with Fox News. “I want someone who wants to be loved and feels at their very best, with love that supports rather than hinders.”
Costner, who has been married twice—first to Cindy Silva from 1978 to 1994 and later to Baumgartner, with whom he shares three children—recently celebrated his film Horizon: An American Saga at its Los Angeles premiere. Five of his seven children attended to show their support. Sons Joe, 36, Cayden, 17, and Hayes, 15 (who makes his acting debut in the film) joined their father on the red carpet, along with daughters Annie, 40, and Grace, 14. His eldest children, Lily, 37, and Liam, 26, were unable to attend.
Reflecting on the premiere, Costner said, “It’s really nice to have a film celebrated and to be here with my actors and family. This is my town. I love being part of the film community here in Hollywood.”
Costner noted the challenges of finding relationships in the spotlight, saying, “It’s really handsome people, beautiful women, and everybody’s trying to create a relationship in front of a billion people. I have a little experience with that.”
Recently, there were rumors about a potential romance with singer Jewel. However, Costner clarified that while he considers her a friend, they have never dated.
