Mark Harmon on Possible Freaky Friday Sequel: If Jamie Lee Curtis Is ‘Talking About It, Then It’ll Happen’

There is growing excitement around the possibility of a sequel to Disney’s 2003 comedy Freaky Friday, with several of the original cast members showing interest. Mark Harmon, who played Ryan Volvo, recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show and shared his belief that a sequel might come to fruition, thanks to Jamie Lee Curtis‘ enthusiasm.

Jamie Lee Curtis, the Oscar-winning star of Everything Everywhere All at Once, has expressed her desire to revisit the film for quite some time. She has hinted at the potential sequel multiple times, including in an Instagram post featuring Lindsay Lohan, her costar from the first film, saying, “hopefully, we can switch places again.” Lohan also confirmed her interest in returning for the project, but mentioned that they are “leaving it in the hands that be.”

Curtis even joked about what the sequel might involve during an appearance on The View, imagining herself as a “grandma who switches bodies” with Lohan’s character, which would offer a fresh twist on the original body-swap concept. With the recent end of the Hollywood strike, fans might soon hear more official updates on this potential project.
